Swedish company ScandBook has acquired all shares in Nørhaven Book A/S and Bjerringholm Ejendomme ApS, according to a press release from ScandBook.
“As representatives of ScandBook’s management, we are very pleased to welcome Nørhaven to the ScandBook family. Together, we will create a broader, stronger, and more innovative company for our customers in both Europe and North America,” said Chairman Håvard Grjotheim and CEO Paulius Juska in a statement.
ScandBook writes that the acquisition is in line with its strategic objectives of expanding into the German, Dutch, and other well-established European markets, as well as diversifying its customer base.
“ScandBook has enjoyed strong organic growth for many years. With the acquisition of Nørhaven, we are taking a powerful step forward in the European book market,” commented Grjotheim and Juska.
Nørhaven Book, located in Viborg in Denmark, is a profitable company with a turnover of 123.2 million DKK in 2024 and an EBITDA of 8.6 million DKK. The company employs around 70 people.
The company mainly produces various types of softcover books, including paperbacks, and has over many years built a strong customer base, particularly in the Northern European market, including the UK and Ireland.
