Podcast; FSC on the EUDR regulation

In a new episode of the Branschkoll-podden, Jan Ihre from FSC discusses how the EU’s new deforestation regulation (EUDR), which comes into effect in 2025, will impact players in the graphic industry.

Updated:

On October 2, the EU decided to postpone the implementation of the new deforestation regulation until the end of 2025. According to the proposal presented today, the rules will come into effect on December 30, 2025, for large companies and on June 30, 2026, for micro and small businesses.

Jan Ihre will talk more in-depth about the EUDR at Print Next on November 19, read more about the event here .

The regulation imposes requirements for traceability and “due diligence” for companies handling wood-based products, including paper.

The regulation requires all actors along the supply chain to trace the origin of wood-based products, meaning that printing companies must be prepared to report the origin of their paper.
